This community is here to support people who feel frustrated, frightened, abandoned or helpless as public health measures to protect us from covid are weakening, disappearing, or just inadequate where we live.
This is a place for venting about your bad experiences, for psyching yourself up when you're about to be The Only Person in the Store Wearing a Mask, for cheering each other on.
It is not a place to make sweeping statements about all unmasked or unvaccinated people; the people who can't take advantage of those measures are often ill or disabled in ways that also make them more vulnerable to covid, and they should feel welcome here too. We're not here to blame individuals for institutional failings.

cosmolinguist and I started this community. I want it to belong to everyone but I'm ultimately responsible so please get in touch if you need anything. On the subject of covid and precautions against it, feelings can run high and negativity is very valid, but hopefully we can lift each other up too.
